Have Fun, Build Tennis Skills and Compete!


The McCarren Tennis Center offers a structured junior program accommodating beginner to tournament level players alike. We offer a proven pathway towards improvement and greater enjoyment of the sport. Incorporating elements of USTA QuickStart & High Performance methodology, Spanish training, and employing an array of effective athletic drills and games, junior players progress as they enjoy the immediate benefits of tennis-fun, exercise and camaraderie! All of our programs incorporate drills, point play, and an emphasis on physical fitness.

PEE WEE (AGES 3-4, 5-6)

MON-FRI 3,4,5 PM | SAT-SUN 10,11 AM, max 6 players/mini-court


Using USTA Quickstart approved red balls and a 30 ft court, our youngest players become familiar with wielding a tennis racquet, ball tracking, and rallying! Fun and active games develop balance, movement and coordination skills. The MTC PeeWee Program is a great introduction to the game for the youngest family member(s) and is the perfect learning environment for young players to begin developing the fundamental skills of tennis.

Players progress through a graduated method of instruction, developing the skills and physical tools to become a complete player. Players will learn sound stroke technique, tennis specific movement and footwork skills, as well as fundamental tactics and strategies. The MTC Junior Recreational Program is appropriate for a range of levels from beginner to high intermediate. Qualified players are eligible for our match play offering.

MTC Junior High Performance offers a unique and tailored training environment for competitive junior players looking to perfect their technique and improve their court movement, physical fitness and overall mental toughness. Players develop an advanced foundation of adaptive skills which will allow them to play comfortably from all areas of the court. Emphasis is placed on developing advanced level movement and ball striking and learning to build and finish points. By invitation only.
